this is a basic key machine, it does the work and is accurate. The only problem is it does not have a brush to clean off the burs. But if you only cut a few keys and just need a machine this is great tool. If you plan to or have to cut keys all the time you need a machine that has a wire wheel and is more versatile.

I've had this model for several years and use it for occasional key duplication for rentals. It works great and takes up very little space. Every key I've ever cut with it has worked without a problem. If you're in the business of cutting keys for a living you probably would want a more sophisticated machine but otherwise it's quite durable and accurate - and a lot less costly than a bigger unit. It is light and small enough to take to a re-keying job and cut keys on-site or in your truck. It is versatile enough to cut both single and double sided keys with reversible jaws to handle both types. For straight cut mailbox type keys there is a special cutter wheel available.
